Why can’t I buy a mini home from one retailer and then locate it in a community that is partnered with another retailer?
A very big part of the service that a reputable retailer offers their clientele is to provide a location to place their new mini home. Having beautiful homes is only 1/2 of the equation – offering homebuyers location options is just as important! In many cases, a retailer may have invested a great deal of time and extremely large amounts of money to provide convenient locations to their customers. In some cases, the retailer may have developed a land-lease community themselves. Or in other cases, they may have paid to purchase an older, existing home, then pay to have it demo’d / removed while paying the monthly lot rent on the site to reserve the site for one of their future customers. Whatever the case, the retailer who has invested the time and money into providing an added service to there customers has the right to allow only their customers to locate homes into their partner communities.
