Close by is a pharmacy, gas station, and places to grab your essentials. Ten Beaches Estates is close to the Rails to Trails biking and hiking trail network, as well as many other leisure opportunities. This location is especially great for families not just because of the access to so many gorgeous beaches, but also because the local schools are wonderful and kids who grow up at Ten Beaches Estates have access to an incredible opportunity— the J.D. Shatford Memorial Trust which grants monies to cover higher education costs for locals. That said, Ten Beaches Estates is very popular with downsizers and retirees too, it’s a mixed community where people enjoy their neighbours. Emily Towns moved to Ten Beaches Estates with her husband and four young children and found it to be a great move. “We spend all summer beaching it,” Emily told us, “And we are so happy with the schools here.” For Emily, having a home where there’s so much space to play outside has been perfect, and she has really enjoyed the sense of community at Ten Beaches Estates. When Ten Beaches Estates was established, the residents got together and built an area with benches and a firepit where they hang out together. Often someone will bring out a guitar and there will be a singalong. The sense of community goes beyond just looking out for each other, and Ten Beaches Estates has become such a special location because of the commitment to community that has blossomed there in the short time that the park has been established. As a newer community, Ten Beaches Estates is unique also because every home there is a new Havill’s mini home, which creates a true pride of ownership among residents. It’s a beautiful park, with large lots. Unfortunately for those looking to make this highly-desirable park their home, Ten Beaches Estates is at full capacity.
